Dance Instructor Photo Sophie Akhtar ("Miss Sophie")

Sophie Akhtar has been with KMC Dance since she was 4 years old. She started of with a Ballet and Tap combo class and as the years went she added Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, and Theatre Performance to her repertoire.

Over the years Sophie has had the opportunity to dance at many venues including: The Dunkin Donuts Thanksgiving Parade, the Carnival Pride Cruise Ship, Disney World, and at various events in and around Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

was dancing before She could walk. Studying dance all her life, Miss Tabby had the privilege of training under many prestigious names. She began her training at the early age of two with "Miss Dina" in Oxford. As Miss Tabby grew so did her passion for dance. This led her to devote many hours a day toward her dream of performing, choreographing, and sharing her love of dance with others through teaching.

Dance Instructor Photo Julie Anzalone ("Miss Julie")

The Oxford Center for Dance was the launching pad for Miss Julie’s LOVE of dance 40 years ago. She began her training at OCD and has continued to study under numerous professional instructors. Her commitment to Quality Performance continues with 24 years of Nutcracker Performances at Oxford Center for Dance. She serves as Judge, Performer and Choreographer and in 2013 was the Co-Creative Director for Nutcracker.

Dance Instructor Photo Caitlin Cellini ("Miss Caitlin")

has been dancing since the age of four at studios such as Paul J. Klocke Studio of Dance, Linda Moore’s School of Dance, Steppin Out Dance Center, and Karen Myers & Co. Throughout her dance career Miss Caitlin has enjoyed performing in local events such as parades and festivals in Kennett and Oxford. Other performance experiences include dancing in the 6ABC Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, Capitol Kickline, and the “Dance the Magic” Parade down Mainstreet USA in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

Dance Instructor Photo Sarah Chance ("Miss Sarah")

Sarah Chance has been dancing since the age of three. She trains in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre and more! She danced on a competitive team for seven years and found her love of theatre after playing the role of Annie in “Annie Jr”; one of the numerous shows she was in at Avon Grove.

Dance Instructor Photo Carlie Connor ("Miss Carlie")

After graduating from Shippensburg University, Carlie went on to dance for Beyond Dance Company. She performed in IDA performances, project Moshen Dance Series, ETC performances, and the New York dance parade and festival. She also performed in the shows that Beyond Dance hosted in which she also performed a solo and a duet. She has also danced with FloMotion Dance Company where she has performed at the Beat Addikts United showcase, Phillippines benefit, Kat Wildish in New York, and much more.

Dance Instructor Photo Katherine Corbett ("Miss Katherine")

is originally from eastern North Carolina where she grew up and attended East Carolina University. She received her BFA in dance performance and began teaching and setting work in the NC area. Over the years, Katherine has trained and worked with with choreographers at BodyTraffic, Koresh, American Dance Festival, and Rubberband Dance. Katherine now resides in Philadelphia and is working with companies such as Brian Sander’s JUNK, Asya Zlatina and Dancers, and Matter Movement Group.

Dance Instructor Photo Taylor Fox ("Miss Taylor")

Taylor has been dancing at KMC Dance since she was six! She is trained in Tap, Rhythmic Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hiphop, and Theatre Performance. Taylor had the honor to perform with KMC Dance (Illuminations Performance Company) dancing in the 6ABC Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, 76ers Basketball Game, at the Statue of Liberty, and many other community events. She is currently in 11th grade at Avon Grove Highschool. Taylor cannot wait to share her passion for dance and community with all of her students. She is always excited to see them sparkle and shine.

Dance Instructor Photo Jennifer Jenkins ("Miss Jenn")

Miss Jenn began her training at Longwood Performing Arts in 1996. In 2001, she joined Oxford Center for Dance and continued to dance there until her high school graduation. She continued to teach at Oxford Center for Dance. Over the years, Miss Jenn performed in their annual nutcracker and still continues to do so.

Dance Instructor Photo Joanne Kalmbach ("Miss JoJo")

Joanne Kalmbach has been working as a dancer/teacher/choreographer in the Philadelphia area for over 35 years. She began her dance training under the direction of Donna Muzio at The Dance Center and was one of the founding members of the Brandywine Ballet. During that time she studied with teachers such as Cherie Noble, Michael Lopuszanski and David Kloss. Ms. Kalmbach went on to become a Principal Dancer with Brandywine Ballet Company as well as Ballet Klös in Philadelphia. While with Ballet Klös, in addition to performing in Philadelphia, she also toured with the company traveling from Philadelphia to Kentucky. In Kentucky, the company performed at the Governors Ball. After this performance, Ms. Kalmbach was featured on the front page of the Kentucky newspaper.

Dance Instructor Photo Charla Klevence ("Tweety")

Ms. Tweety attended The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA. Then continue​d​ her studies at West Chester University graduating with a BSEd in Early Childhood Education. While Ms. Tweety was a Tap Dancer with Tap Team Two & Co. ( under the direction of: Robert F. Burden Jr.) she had the opportunity to work with Young Audiences of: PA, NJ, NY, MD, VA, and CONN. performing in various schools teaching the history of Tap Dance. ​​Ms. Tweety's teachers over the years have been: Joseph Lee, Nini Brown, LaVaughn Robinson, Germaine Ingram, Robert Burden, Nicole Hockenberry, Germaine Salsberg, Jimmy Tate, , Buster Brown, Savion Glover, and Jason Samuels Smith; just to name a few.​

Dance Instructor Photo Andre Morris ("Mr Andre")

Andre Morris began his Hip Hop training at the age of 8, and after taking a short hiatus to study musical theater and music, returned to dancing at the age of 12 at Carousel Performing Arts Center in Kennett Square PA. Andre Has been trained in all subgenres of Hip Hop, including but not limited to, Breaking and House, as well as funk styles such as Popping and Locking.

Dance Instructor Photo Michael Nguyen ("Mr Mike")

Michael Nguyen is a passionate dance instructor, choreographer, and entertainment artist. He received his MFA in Choreography and Performance at Temple University where he has had opportunities to perform for many guest artists such as Kyle Clark and Jenifer Weber. Michael is also a member of Balance Dance Company, D2D: Dare 2 Dance, and is a choreographer for Beat Addikts United.

Dance Instructor Photo Reggie Oliver ("Mr Reggie")

Reggie. O is a Dancer, Choreographer, and Teacher in his 20’s from Pennsylvania Who has experienced many different areas of entertaining and performing! From the stage to the Television set and even Catalogs and Magazines Reggie.O has been blessed and fortunate enough to dance for such artist as Toni Braxton, Macklemore, Keke Palmer, and Pitbull just to name a few of many.

Dance Instructor Photo Nikki Osgood ("Miss Nikki")

Nikki Osgood has been a professional dancer since the age of 17. She started her career with a scholarship to Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet and performed various roles in the Nutcracker ballet. Nikki then transitioned her performance career into theatre based shows throughout the world. Nikki spent four years of her career on the islands of Guam and Saipan, where she trained extensively to become a featured dancer, aerialist, and magic assistant.

Dance Instructor Photo Cheyanna Sullivan ("Miss Cheyanna")

started dancing at the age of 3 where she began her training at Center Stage Dance and Theater School in East Brunswick, NJ. She trained in their jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet, and lyrical competition teams from the age of 5 up until she was 17. She graduated in 2009 and was accepted into University of the Arts in Philadelphia as a Dance major. There, she had the opportunity to work with teachers and choreographers working in the professional world from New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta where she trained in Classic Modern, Flamenco, Heels, and Aerial on top of her previous training.

Dance Instructor Photo Sarah Warren ("Miss Sarah")

Sarah Warren, originally from Maryland, currently resides in Philadelphia, PA where she attended Temple University and obtained her BFA in Dance Performance & Choreography. Upon graduation in 2015, Sarah has continued to perform professionally and teach at local dance and fitness studios. Sarah currently dances and performs with Nickerson-Rossi Dance, Putty Dance Project, Matter Movement Group and ARTIST HOUSE/Asya Zlatina & Dancers. She has also performed work for Blanca Huertas Agnew, Keila Cordova Dances, The InterACTion Project, Alana Melene Dances, a. dance theatre, ContempraDANCE Theatre, Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre and many other artists in the Philadelphia and NYC areas. Along with dance, Sarah is a certified Bar Method instructor currently teaching at the Bar Method Rittenhouse location in Center City Philadelphia.
