Dance Program Director

was dancing before She could walk. Studying dance all her life, Miss Tabby had the privilege of training under many prestigious names. She began her training at the early age of two with "Miss Dina" in Oxford. As Miss Tabby grew so did her passion for dance. This led her to devote many hours a day toward her dream of performing, choreographing, and sharing her love of dance with others through teaching.

has been dancing since the age of four at studios such as Paul J. Klocke Studio of Dance, Linda Moore’s School of Dance, Steppin Out Dance Center, and Karen Myers & Co. Throughout her dance career Miss Caitlin has enjoyed performing in local events such as parades and festivals in Kennett and Oxford. Other performance experiences include dancing in the 6ABC Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, Capitol Kickline, and the “Dance the Magic” Parade down Mainstreet USA in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

Dance Instructor Photo Sophie Akhtar ("Miss Sophie")

Sophie Akhtar has been with KMC Dance since she was 4 years old. She started of with a Ballet and Tap combo class and as the years went she added Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, and Theatre Performance to her repertoire.

Over the years Sophie has had the opportunity to dance at many venues including: The Dunkin Donuts Thanksgiving Parade, the Carnival Pride Cruise Ship, Disney World, and at various events in and around Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

Dance Instructor Photo Julie Anzalone ("Miss Julie")

The Oxford Center for Dance was the launching pad for Miss Julie’s LOVE of dance. Over 30 years ago, she began her training and has continued to study under numerous professional instructors. Her commitment to Quality Performance continues with 20 years of Nutcracker Performances at Oxford Center for Dance. She serves as Judge, Performer and Choreographer and in 2013 was the Co-Creative Director for Nutcracker.

Dance Instructor Photo Cassidy Colmary ("Miss Cassi")

Cassi ​was dancing before the day she was born, however she started her dance "career" at the age of three!

She trains in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Rhythmic Tap, Hiphop, Breakin', Latin Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Theatre Performance... pretty much any class that is offered ...she's there!

She's had the opportunity to perform with Illuminations Performance Company for four seasons and perform on the Carnival cruise ship, at the Statue of Liberty, the ABC Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade and at many community events, benefits, & parades!

Dance Instructor Photo Kaitlyn Gaito ("Miss Kaitlyn")

Kaitlyn Gaito began her dance training at the age of four in the Philadelphia area. Throughout her years of training she actively performed throughout the Tri State area where she received several scholarships. Currently, Kaitlyn completed her BFA in Dance at the University of the Arts. She has trained extensively in hip hop, jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, acrobatics, Bollywood, tap, and African dance styles. Kaitlyn was also a featured dancer for Good Morning America and was also featured performer in the 6 ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade as well as the West Chester Christmas Parade that airs on QVC.

Dance Instructor Photo Jennifer Jenkins ("Miss Jenn")

Miss Jenn began her training at Longwood Performing Arts in 1996. In 2001, she joined Oxford Center for Dance and continued to dance there until her high school graduation. She continued to teach at Oxford Center for Dance. Over the years, Miss Jenn performed in their annual nutcracker and still continues to do so.

Dance Instructor Photo Joanne Kalmbach ("Miss JoJo")

Joanne Kalmbach has been working as a dancer/teacher/choreographer in the Philadelphia area for over 35 years. She began her dance training under the direction of Donna Muzio at The Dance Center and was one of the founding members of the Brandywine Ballet. During that time she studied with teachers such as Cherie Noble, Michael Lopuszanski and David Kloss. Ms. Kalmbach went on to become a Principal Dancer with Brandywine Ballet Company as well as Ballet Klös in Philadelphia. While with Ballet Klös, in addition to performing in Philadelphia, she also toured with the company traveling from Philadelphia to Kentucky. In Kentucky, the company performed at the Governors Ball. After this performance, Ms. Kalmbach was featured on the front page of the Kentucky newspaper.

Dance Instructor Photo Charla Klevence ("Tweety")

Ms. Tweety attended The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA. Then continue​d​ her studies at West Chester University graduating with a BSEd in Early Childhood Education. While Ms. Tweety was a Tap Dancer with Tap Team Two & Co. ( under the direction of: Robert F. Burden Jr.) she had the opportunity to work with Young Audiences of: PA, NJ, NY, MD, VA, and CONN. performing in various schools teaching the history of Tap Dance. ​​Ms. Tweety's teachers over the years have been: Joseph Lee, Nini Brown, LaVaughn Robinson, Germaine Ingram, Robert Burden, Nicole Hockenberry, Germaine Salsberg, Jimmy Tate, , Buster Brown, Savion Glover, and Jason Samuels Smith; just to name a few.​

Dance Instructor Photo Carlie Monzo ("Miss Carlie")

Carlie Monzo has been dancing since the age of 3 with training in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, hip-hop, and contemporary. In the past, she has trained at Touch of Class, Oxford Center for Dance, and Delaware Dance Company. While at Oxford Center for Dance, she received numerous leading roles which included Dancing doll and Dew Drop Fairy in the Nutcracker Ballet and many opening piece leads. In 2010, she started a hip-hop program called “hippy-hop”, where she was able to give students ages 3-7 the opportunity to start training in this style at a young age.

Dance Instructor Photo Andre Morris ("Mr Andre")

Andre Morris began his Hip Hop training at the age of 8, and after taking a short hiatus to study musical theater and music, returned to dancing at the age of 12 at Carousel Performing Arts Center in Kennett Square PA. Andre Has been trained in all subgenres of Hip Hop, including but not limited to, Breaking and House, as well as funk styles such as Popping and Locking.

Dance Instructor Photo Todd Munoz ("Mr Todd")

Todd has been an active member of the Hip Hop scene since the age of 21. He was discovered and began his training from Andreas Johnson and Versatile Entertainment and devoted all of the time he had to learning this art form. This was difficult because Todd was already a full-time Physics Education student at the University of Delaware. His passion has always been found in education and the classroom but it wasn't until his senior year that Todd realized he could combine both his passion for educating and children with his new found love for dance.

Dance Instructor Photo Michael Nguyen ("Mr Mike")

Michael Nguyen is a passionate dance instructor, choreographer, and entertainment artist. He received his MFA in Choreography and Performance at Temple University where he has had opportunities to perform for many guest artists such as Kyle Clark and Jenifer Weber. Michael is also a member of Balance Dance Company, D2D: Dare 2 Dance, and is a choreographer for Beat Addikts United.

Dance Instructor Photo Chad Ortiz ("Mr Chad")

Chad Allen Ortiz is from Temecula, CA, where he began his training through his brother George Ortiz Jr. Currently, Chad resides in Los Angeles, CA and West Chester, PA. Chad is the Educational Director, Social Media Manager, and Male Principal Dancer of Nickerson-Rossi Dance (East and West), who is Uptown! Knauer Performing Art Center’s resident dance company. Chad's premiere performance with Nickerson-Rossi Dance was in the Cape Cod Dance Festival 2014, dancing alongside companies: Martha Graham, American Ballet Theater, Boston Ballet, and Doug Varone and Dancers. Chad returned to the festival again in 2015. In 2016, Chad gained his international performance status when he performed with NRD in Torino, Italy at the Royal Theater.

Dance Instructor Photo Caroline Poore ("Miss Caroline")

Caroline Poore has danced for as long as she can remember. She has had the privilege of training in multiple studios across America from Alabama all the way up to Pennsylvania. Dance has provided Caroline many opportunities to perform in many places including, Walt Disney World, the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Statue of Liberty, on a Carnival Cruise, and much more. She trained at KMC for 7 years before graduating high school and going to college at The University of Valley Forge.

Dance Instructor Photo Sarah Warren ("Miss Sarah")

Sarah Warren, originally from Maryland, currently resides in Philadelphia, PA where she attended Temple University and obtained her BFA in Dance Performance & Choreography. Upon graduation in 2015, Sarah now performs professionally and teaches at local dance and fitness studios. Sarah has performed work for Keila Cordova Dances, The InterACTion Project, Femme Collective, a. dance theatre and many other freelance artists in the Philadelphia and NYC areas. She was formerly an apprentice with NYC based company Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre and currently dances and performs with Nickerson-Rossi Dance (East), Putty Dance Project, Matter Movement Group, Alana Melene Dances, and ContempraDANCE Theatre. Dance Instructor Photo Kolby Colmary ("Mr Kolby")

Kolby is honored to be a part of #teamkmcdance as an Assistant Teacher this year and is ready to Dance LOUD & PROUD with his KMC Dance Family! He has trained in a variety of dance genres at his home studio, KMC Dance since he was 3 years old! Kolby is also proud to be a part of Beat Addikts United & Flo-Bros Dance Company. Kolby is a seasoned dancer & performer on stage at American Music Theatre & with Servant Stage Productions! He has also had the amazing opportunities to dance down Main Street USA Disney World, in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, & many other local & community events with KMC Dance! Kolby cannot wait to see where his journey in the world of the performing arts may lead him! He aspires for Broadway!

Dance Instructor Photo Rachel Evangelista ("Miss Rachel")

Rachels love for dance began at the age of 5 and has grown ever since then. She has trained at KMC all of her life and has learned styles such as, ballet, tap, pointe, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, and theatre. She currently attends Unionville High School and will be graduating in 2019. Because of her love and enthusiasm for dane she is very excited to help Assistant Teach classes this year along side the other fabulous KMC instructors.

   
   
Dance Instructor Photo Bella Ferranto ("Miss Bella")

Bella is thrilled to be back as an assistant teacher for her second year! She has been dancing at KMC dance since she was 3 years old, training in a variety of styles. Bella is a Level 1 dancer in ballet, pointe, tap, lyrical, contemporary, jazz and theater performance. She is in 10th grade, attending Kennett High School.

Dance Instructor Photo Leah Humphrey ("Miss Leah")

Leah’s passion for dance began at the age of three. She is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Theatre Performance. She attends Oxford Area High School, as a part of the graduating class of 2020.

Leah has had the opportunity to perform at the 6ABC Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, a 76ers basketball game, Kings Dominion, and many other community events!

   
   
Dance Instructor Photo Julia Snoke ("Miss Julia")

Julia was introduced to dance at the age of five and has been in love with it ever since. She is entering her 12th year training at KMC and can't wait to be an assistant teacher again this year! Her training includes tap, rhythm tap, ballet, jazz, theatre jazz, but tap has always held a special place in her heart. Julia is excited to share her passion for dance with her students this year!
