Sophie Akhtar has been with KMC Dance since she was 4 years old. She started of with a Ballet and Tap combo class and as the years went she added Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, and Theatre Performance to her repertoire.

Over the years Sophie has had the opportunity to dance at many venues including: The Dunkin Donuts Thanksgiving Parade, the Carnival Pride Cruise Ship, Disney World, and at various events in and around Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

Sophie’s love for teaching began when she started assisting at dance camps over the summer when she was 14. As a sophomore in high school she began assistant with dance classes and as a senior she was offered her own classes.

Dancing has been apart of Sophie’s life for so long and she considers it a blessing and loves to share her passion with a younger generation of dancers.
